For many people who are missing one or more teeth, dental implants are the next best thing to having their own. The value of dental implants include an increasing chewing efficiency and improved speech and appearance. The implant procedure is usually performed under IV sedation (twilight sleep) with usually less postoperative discomfort than that associated with routine dental extractions.

The implant itself will consist of a titanium cylinder and serves as an "artificial root" for your replacement teeth.

The implant will attach to your bone and be ready for use within 4 to 6 months.

Typically, you will be able to wear your own partial or denture during the healing phase.

Once healing is complete, the final denture, bridge, or crown is fabricated and attached by your dentist.
